Weekend Discussion – February 5, 2022
This month is shaping up to be a month for the ages with so many major updates coming and new games that many of us have been looking forward to. Also, Happy Black History Month! Support your Black game developers, your Black-led game studios, and your Black content creators not just this month, but throughout the year! Let’s get into the weekend talk, shall we?
In case you missed it…
There have been some really fun streams this week. Have you ever wondered what Bloodborne would look like as a PS1 title? TJ Denzer took a look at the Bloodborne PSX game built from the ground up over a 13 month period and there was plenty of fun to be had as he battled bosses and hungry mobs.
I love the Simpsons arcade game. As a teenager, it was one of my favorite games to play with friends at the local cinema while waiting for our show time. Greg Burke recently did an unboxing and I’m tempted to grab one of these arcade cabinets myself soon. Check it out!

We have a first look at the upcoming HALO series on Paramount+! what do you think of this one? I feel like there seems to be a decent budget for the project, but will the drama keep people interested in a mostly silent protagonist like Master Chief? Guess we’ll find out soon when the new show comes out on March 24th.
This Wednesday was difficult for several reasons. We’ve had tons of snow here in Chicago, but that wasn’t enough to stop AEW fans from heading to the arena for AEW Dynamite this week. What followed was a shocking moment as the dastardly MJF managed to defeat local hero CM Punk. Quite the way to put on one of the best heels in the business.
Glad to see some solidarity between two of the great brands. Happy Black History Month!

I’m really enjoying the first season of Abbott Elementary so far. It’s a superb 30-minute feel-good comedy created by the wonderful Quinta Brunson. She recently appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show and this cozy moment with one of her elementary school teachers happened.
A big surprise for #AbbottElementaryit is @QuintaBrunson this evening! ❤️ pic.twitter.com/2QZs5rKw8V

Junti Ito x Pokemon is a collaboration I didn’t know I needed, but now that it exists, I’d love to see its take on some of the scariest Pokemon, especially the Psychic and Ghost types.

Doja Cat always kills it with creative videos. Trekkies should enjoy the new video for “Get Into It, (Yuh)” as she works as a space commander with a bulletproof twerking technique. Come in !
December may have already passed, but Rod Wave knows how to make you feel something during the winter months with this video.
I say scared money hasn’t made money for years and I stand by the phrase. Smart investments are always something that interests me. Not a huge YG fan, but things went pretty well on this new track. J Cole also swiped on this one and the visuals are solid. Looked.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s feature. I have something special planned for later in the month, so stay tuned. Also remember to consult our free application Shackpets if you have an adorable pet to share! See you next week.
