Top 10 Upcoming PC Game Exclusives Not Coming To Consoles
2021 is almost over, so there isn’t much to look forward to in terms of releases. The good news is that we really don’t need to look for new games in December as there will still be plenty of new releases coming out next year. Among these are some amazing PC games coming out next year. In this article, we take a look at the top 10 upcoming PC games that won’t be released on consoles.
Top 10 Upcoming PC Game Exclusives Not Available on Consoles (As of December 19, 2021)
Landfill Kingdoms (Roach Games, October 2022)
Landfill Kingdoms is a passionate project by developers who have a deep love for classic JRPGs. In fact, the development of the game started as a Tied to the earth fan game until Roach Games decides to create a game from its own IP. After successful funding on Kickstarter in 2019, the game will finally release after six years of development in October 2022. While it’s still so far into the future, be sure to keep this game in sight. It’s one of those games that people would tend to overlook, only to hear about it later as one of the biggest.
Baldur’s Gate 3 (Larian Studios, sometimes 2022)
This is one of the biggest games to release next year – a game from a line of incredible CRPGs. The gate of Baldur III launched in early access in October 2021, but the full version of the game won’t be released until next year. But even in Early Access, the game is already phenomenal. Of course, some in-game cutscenes still aren’t implemented and are narrated instead, but you get the whole gaming experience with just Early Access. If you want to try the game early on, you can get it on Steam. Once the game is complete, you will get it as well.
Total War: Warhammer 3 (Creative Assembly, February 17, 2022)
There has been a lot of buzz for Total War: Warhammer 3. Why wouldn’t there be one, given that those who have wholeheartedly supported the series since the first will be immensely rewarded when this game releases early next year. If you like big war maps, you had better get the first two decks as you will be able to play all three cards from all three decks combined into one epic campaign map if you own all three decks. Now, whether or not your system can handle the weight is another issue, but the whole idea itself is very exciting. Add a whole bunch of new factions and special units, and you’ve got a totally epic game in your hands.
Survival trials (Red barrels, sometimes 2022)
Originally slated for release this year, it has been pushed back to 2022 thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Set in the cold war, Survival trials is a first-person psychological horror survival video game prequel to Survive 1 and 2. It was supposed to come out as some sort of DLC or expansion for Survive 2, but was transformed into its own game instead. Described as a “TV series” by Red Barrels, we would expect the game to have some sort of episodic version or story structure, similar to the original. Alan wake and Life is strange. In this game, you play as one of the Murkoff Corporation test subjects in a mysterious Cold War experiment. Would you be able to survive and make it out alive?
Syberia: the world before (Microids, March 31, 2022)
Syberia: the world before is a graphic adventure game that continues the story of Syberia. You follow the interwoven stories of Dana Roze and Kate Walker. The game has a very immersive and graphically impressive world. One of the more fast-paced games, expect to take your time solving puzzles and exploring areas of interest. If you enjoy storytelling exploration games then this one is for you.
The sons of the forest (Endnight Games, sometimes 2022)
This one is on our list of the 10 best upcoming PC games that was recently revealed. This is a follow up game of the popular survival horror game The forest. Son of the forest is set to outperform the previous game in everything: spookier monsters, better crafting options, better combat controls, better environments, and even better graphics. Recently revealed, the game does not yet have a release date.
Company of Heroes 3 (Relic Entertainment, late 2022)
Relic Entertainment is really looking to bring back the former glory of the RTS genre. With this year Age of Empires 4, what we get next is Company of Heroes 3. Although it is not as seminal as Age of empires, A company of heroes was still one of the best RTS series of the golden years of the RTS genre. Even today, many players compete in multiplayer from Company of Heroes 2, showing how good the game is and how long it lasts. The next in the series is sure to bring gamers back and we’re excited to see how Relic Entertainment breaks new ground in this series in its next iteration – one of which is the Tactical Pause System, new to the series.
Dune: the war of spices (Shiro Games, sometimes 2022)
This one came as a nice surprise at E3, although we can tell it’s not totally out of left field. There was a new Dune game, after all, but we weren’t really expecting a new game in the franchise this soon. With an action-packed sci-fi movie like Dune, we absolutely didn’t expect a strategy game to come out of the last movie. But that’s not at all surprising either – the Dune the franchise has spawned board games and equally cerebral games in the past. At first glance, it looks like a new generation of base-building strategy games for trading – I’m really looking forward to its release.
Planet of freedom 2 (GalaxyTrail, early 2022)
Announced in 2015, Planet of freedom 2 will finally arrive in early access this early 2022. Sonic the hedgehog is the inspiration for this series and you play as one of the three anthropomorphic characters in this game. It’s been a long time coming, and finally the game will arrive next year. Hoping it’s as good as the first one.
Homeworld 3 (Blackbird Interactive, Q4 2022)
After three years of development, the rebirth of Home world The RTS space franchise is finally here. With Gearbox in mind, Homeworld 3 has so much more potential than it has ever had before. We can’t wait to see how this space RTS will evolve. If you haven’t noticed it yet, we’re really big on RTS games here, and this is one of the next PC games that we’re really looking forward to.
