Paris-based publisher Microids today announced the opening of a new representative office in Berlin, Germany, as part of its expansion plan.
Scheduled to conduct deals with publishers and studios in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the new office opens, 85% of Microids’ revenue would come from outside of France.
The next expansion
Microids Group achieved $55 million in revenue last year, representing 60% growth over 2020, as the company continued to expand globally and strengthen its IP catalog. Two new studios have also recently opened in Paris and Lyon.
Stéphane Longeard, CEO of Microids, said: “With the establishment of our own distribution network in France (MDF), the opening of two studios in Paris and Lyon as well as a minor stake in Osome Studio , the last two years have been decisive for Microids. Group.
“In recent years, Microids has also opened representative offices in Japan and China (2019 and 2021 respectively), increasing our presence in Asia and expanding our catalog.
German mobile game developer Chimera Entertainment recently hired Stefan Dieckmann, who has worked at Kolibri Games, Edurino, Luma Arcade and more, as its new head of development.
In the meantime, Microids already has a representative in Germany: its VP of sales and business development Julien Renzaho.

Renzaho commented: “The opening of this new office in Berlin is a logical step for the growth of Microids, since German-speaking countries represent our second largest market in Europe after France.
Several mobile game companies have recently opened new offices, including Kwalee’s latest office in Almada, Portugal, and Gameloft’s F2P studio in Paris.
