‘Horizon Chase’, ‘Marvel Future Fight’, ‘Brawlhalla’, ‘Vigil RPG’, and more – TouchArcade

Hello everyone and welcome to the week! It’s time again to look back at the remarkable updates of the last seven days. I probably could have done an entire article on St. Patrick’s Day updates, but that’s just too green considering the holidays are already in the rearview mirror for this year. Instead, I tried to include a balanced plate of updates to celebrate the weird and adorable rainbow of colors that is the App Store. Metaphor! Of course, you can keep an eye out for updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly summary is just here to fill you in on things you might have missed. Let’s go for that!

Jetpack ride, Free After all this bluster, I always start things off with a St. Patrick’s Day update. I mean, people love them. They love holidays where everyone gets drunk and wears green. I can’t blame them. i can’t blame Jetpack ride That is. You can still participate in his event for a little while, where three holiday-themed Jetpacks are up for grabs with the amazing Celtic Teleporter. Add a SAM skin and wild outfits for Barry and you have plenty to keep you busy until the next event starts.

RPG Vigilante, $1.99 This is a small update. Just a small update, and there’s not a ton of new stuff in it. But I really like RPG Vigilante and I’m heartened to see its developer continue to support the game after so many years. This update fixes text formatting on the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max, while adding some cool new comments for Bo the Bartender. The only problem is that you have to be fairly low level to see these new wise words. A good excuse to launch a new character, I guess.

NBA 2K22 Arcade Edition, A big update for Apple Arcade’s first hoop game, that’s what it is. Both MyCareer and The Association modes get a new NBA All-Star 22 field, along with matching jerseys. All NBA rosters have been updated, with adjusted attributes and player ratings. Nice and up to date, at least for this week. In terms of new features and other additions, we’ve got a new replay mode so you can rewatch your highlights, and a handy language toggle in the settings menu so you don’t have to reset the game. There are also a ton of bugfixes, which is never a bad thing.

Angry Birds ReloadedThere was a time when your only hope of passing a difficult stage in angry Birds was to bang your head until you got it. Then came the Mighty Eagle, and the Wallet Warriors rejoiced. But how do you present the Mighty Eagle when you’re no longer selling IAPs? You make it a daily login bonus, apparently. Angry Birds Reloaded Will now give you Mighty Eagles as long as you show up to play. Use them for particularly vexing levels or save them for a rainy day that never comes. The power is yours.

Horizon Hunt, Free Tired: Weekly Challenges. Wired: Daily challenges. That’s history with this latest update for the Amazing Runner Horizon Hunt, allowing you to earn more rewards and giving you an excuse to play every day. And who doesn’t want to play Horizon Hunt everyday? Turn it on, run through four tracks and collect your goodies. It’s win-win. Your brain will love you for the dopamine hit, and isn’t life mostly about keeping Brain-san happy? Absolutely.

Temple Run: Adventure & PuzzleSubstituting for the mandatory free puzzle game update this week is another Apple Arcade game, which technically isn’t free. I’m tired of thinking of smart things to say about cartoon explosion, Sorry. Not that it’s very different, I suppose. You get sixty new levels to play, plus a new series of tournaments. There’s also a new Treasure Trove feature that lets you earn stars to restore relics to a valuable collection. Of course, that’s a pretty reasonable incentive to play.

Subway surfersFree There is a certain fascination with cherry blossoms when spring arrives and, as we all know, when you think of cherry blossoms, you think… Vancouver? Well, whatever. Any excuse to have a bit of my home country in my life, I guess. Surf through the beautiful flowering trees using the new Surfer Pink, and no, it’s not that pink. No relation, I’m sure. Grab the tree-tastic springboard, score the stealth outfit for Zayn, and slip into the New York City Marathon challenge for even more rewards.

brawlhallaFree Maybe you thought the St. Patrick’s Day updates were all one with the Jetpack ride thing. Fools ! Absolute fools ! Of Classes there is another. One to open, one to save! You to know this. Wait, what am I talking about? Let’s keep moving forward. Some new holiday-themed items are available in Luck o’ the Brawl, which is an event that’s likely coming to an end by the time you read this. This update also brings a new legend in the form of Arcadia the Fairy Queen. She has a spear, a large sword and a giant beetle. What more could you want? I hope not much more, because it is essentially the update. Following!

MARVEL Future Combat, Free Gosh, you can really tell who offered their likeness rights and who didn’t here. The last event of marvel future fight is centered around Disney Plus Hawk Eye TV show, which was damn good in my books. This means new uniforms for Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, and Maya Lopez, as well as a new Level 3 Hawkeye and potentially transcended versions of Kate and Maya. There is a new collectible in the form of the SHIELD Archives (formerly Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics, now Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division). As a bonus, there are now repeat and autoplay options in Story Mode. No Pizza Dog? Boo, no coveted reward for you!

Taiko no Tatsujin Pop Tap Beat, Well, this is the last game. By default, he gets the coveted UMMSotW price for this week, so let’s hope it lives up to it. There are a few new tweaks and features, but let’s face it, we’re here for the new songs. There is a huge success in this new version: baby shark. Ha ha ha, oh no! Also in this update is I’m your friend from toy story, Rhapsody in blue, and some other songs. Baaaaby Shark, do-do-do OH NOOOOOOOOO!

That’s about it for the important updates for the past week. I’m sure I missed a few, so feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think anything should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely have their own news throughout this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to recap and fill in the blanks. Have a good week!
