Fortnite bug means Reality Seeds is disabled in Season 4

This Fortnite bug can yield infinite loot, so it’s no huge surprise that it means the poor old reality seeds have been removed from the Battle Royale game. Still, this means that if you were hoping to do some all-purpose gardening today, you might be disappointed.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 saw a lot of fun toys come into the game. We have things like Fortnite’s Whiplash, the Grapple Glove Returns and of course the Chrome. We like it a lot because there are so many different things to do, but the problem with Reality Seeds came because of the Explosive Goo Gun.

Apparently there was an interaction between the two that caused infinite loot, and while that sounds like fun in theory, it obviously unbalanced the game quite substantially. The good news though is that any Reality Trees already planted will still flower, but they won’t create new Reality Seeds yet.

Unlike single-player games, there’s really no arguing for a bug like this in Fortnite, as it definitely makes things unfair for players who can’t get the most out of it. It’s always kind of fun to see bugs like this pop up, and we’re glad Epic can just disable the less exciting of the two in order to fix it for now.

We’ll have to see how long this bug persists, but we have no doubt that everything will be fixed by the time Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5 arrives.
